Offering gospel hope & help for sufferers, sorrowers, & supporters.

Christine M. Chappell is a wife, mother of three, the author of Clean Home, Messy Heart: Promises of Renewal, Hope, and Change for Overwhelmed Moms, and the host of IBCD's Hope + Help Podcast.

Christine's newest title, Help! My Teen is Depressed is a contribution to the LifeLine Mini-Book series published by Shepherd Press and is forthcoming Spring 2020.

She has completed certificates in Biblical Counseling through the Institute of Biblical Counseling and Discipleship (IBCD) and is presently in the process of obtaining certification through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC).

Her writing has been featured at websites such as Desiring God, The Gospel CoalitionRisen MotherhoodServants of Grace, Devotable, and served two years as a contributing writer at Thrive Moms. Christine has previously served the local church as a communications lead, equip women's workshop developer and teacher, women's conference speaker, and leadership team member. She has also volunteered as a Care Coach for JC Cares, a local non-profit that offers free biblical counseling services to the economically disadvantaged in her community.

Christine is passionate about advocating for biblical one-another care and discipleship in the local church. Her heart for ministry stems from being previously treated for bipolar disorder II, depression, panic attacks, disordered eating, suicidal ideations, and self-injurious behaviors.

At the age of 28, two weeks after her father passed away from cancer, the grace of God took hold of her heart and she was converted from atheism to become an eager disciple of Jesus Christ. Part of Christine's life story includes two hospitalizations at mental health institutions: one as a teenager and the other as a devoted follower of Christ. By God's sovereign design, these experiences fuel the compassion and sympathy that motivates Christine's work.

She presently resides in South Carolina with her husband of 16 years and their three children and is a member of Trinity Point Church.

Statement of Faith: Nicene Creed

I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, begotten from the Father before all ages, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made; of the same essence as the Father. Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven; he became incarnate by the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary, and was made human. He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate; he suffered and was buried. The third day he rose again, according to the Scriptures. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again with glory to judge the living and the dead. His kingdom will never end. And I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life. He proceeds from the Father and the Son, and with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified. He spoke through the prophets. I believe in one holy catholic* and apostolic church. I affirm one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. I look forward to the resurrection of the dead, and to life in the world to come. Amen.

*That is, the true Christian church of all times and all places. Read: universal.
